HOST

The RB400 Advance has three USB host ports: two USB 3.0 ports and one USB 2.0 port.

USB power control via GPIO:

  • GPIO6 – output signal controlling the 5 V power supply for the USB 2.0 port (1 = on, 0 = off),
  • GPIO42 – output signal controlling the 5 V power supply for the USB 3.0 ports (1 = on, 0 = off).

To control the +5V USB power, the Pigeon uses power switches with the following features:

  • Overcurrent protection,
  • Short-circuit protection,
  • Over-temperature protection,
  • Undervoltage lockout,
  • Reverse current blocking.

DEVICE

The USB port labeled "USB DEVICE" is used for OS updates.
